Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you have found it informative and helpful. If you are visiting Medway or live in Medway I and the church that meets at Enon would be pleased to see you.
Some people ask questions about God, about Jesus Christ and what we believe as a church. One question sometimes asked is ‘What is a Christian’? The quick answer is someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ in their life. But then another question arises. Who is Jesus Christ? To answer this we come to the heart of the Christian Gospel and of the Bible. Names are very significant in the Bible. Christ means the Messiah or the promised one. Jesus Christ is the one who was always the Son of God and God the father promised to many years before to send him to our world as Saviour. What about the name Jesus? This tells us He is Saviour and he saves from our sins.
In the Bible we read of Jesus in Acts 4:12. ‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.’ The Bible tells us we have all sinned against God and the only way we can be saved is through Jesus Christ. There are not many ways to become a Christian. It must be by Jesus Christ. The Bible tells of Jesus death, that He died on the cross for sinners and that those who repent of their sin and believe in Him will be saved.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Christian faith or what it is to be a Christian then I should be pleased to see you and talk with you. Contact details are given on the website or come along to one of our meetings and ask for me. At Easter time we particularly think about Jesus and that he died on the cross and rose again. He gained the victory over sin and death and those who believe in Him not only are Christians but also receive the gift of eternal life. Come and find out more this Easter. You would be very welcome.
